"When I was an infant at my mother’s breast, I gurgled and cooed like any infant. When I grew up, I left those infant ways for good.
We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!
But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love." 1 Corinthians 13:11-13 (MSG)
We know about the most popular love verse in Scriptures, as in 'love is patient, love is kind'. The verses above are the verses that follow that. It is not as well known but it is an eye opener.
As we walk with the Lord, there will be many times where it will be like walking in a fog and each step is taken with only a few feet of visibility in front of us. At the right time we will see a clearing and we can see the big picture and understand the reasons for everything we went through. But until then, we have to trust, hope and love. Just as in life, we are to be as infants under the care of our parents but at the right time we will be mature to be the ones caring for our own.
