It is Written

"Blessed is the one who reads, as well as those who hear the words of this prophecy and pay attention to what is written in it because the time is near."   Revelation 1:3

Earlier in the year, the Doomsday Clock has been moved 30 seconds closer to midnight. 

As it stands now, humankind is a mere two and a half minutes away to midnight -- symbolizing the end of the world. (The closest it has been since 1953).

I mean, everyone can see the threat of a nuclear holocaust. There are ethnic wars, religious wars, territorial wars; violence are everywhere. Worldwide, heinous crimes are headline news. There is famine, food shortage, epidemics, animal extinctions and thousands of refugees are leaving their homelands. People are being shot and beheaded for their faith, for their ethnicity, for their personal choices. There are earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, twisters, flooding and tsunamis.

It is scary. I agree. And everyone is saying the world is coming to an end. People are afraid because everything is going downhill.

Now, a true follower of Jesus would also see all these but will say no, everything isn't just going downhill, everything is also falling into place.

For you see everything that is happening now has all been foretold in the Book of Revelation and in the words of Jesus as written in the gospels, and in the prophecies written in the Old Testament.

Everything. And everything is pointing to that time. I believe this is one of the few things that both scientists and believers agree on, and they are both right. 

That time is near, very near -- the Second Coming of Jesus. And do you still remember what Hebrews 10:25 say?  "Let us neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Yes, the Day and the Time is coming. The correct response is not to be fearful and not to fall away but rather to be encouraged, to come together and to also encourage one another. Yes, more than ever before. Because the time written and talked about for thousands of years, is almost here.
