"Consider the kind of extravagant love the Father has lavished on us—He calls us children of God! It’s true; we are His beloved children. And in the same way the world didn’t recognize Him, the world does not recognize us either.
My loved ones, we have been adopted into God’s family; and we are officially His children now. The full picture of our destiny is not yet clear, but we know this much: when Jesus appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him just as He is.
All those who focus their hopes on Him and His coming seek to purify themselves just as He is pure." 1 John 3:1-3 (Voice)

This is why we have questions inside us, in every situation -- be it as an unbeliever, a skeptic, a new believer, struggling believer, a veteran believer, fake believer, or a backslider.
What we fail to realize is that we are not meant to know everything. In fact if we do, then we have no need for Him, our Father in heaven, Him our Lord and Savior, and His Spirit, sent to us as our Comforter and Teacher.
For one, John told us, what we will be has not yet been revealed to us. But what we do know is that when Christ appears, we will be like Him.
And this is why all true believers live their lives eagerly awaiting for Christ's second coming. Everything that they do in a daily or consistent basis reveals this -- the expectation that Christ will come back (like a thief in the night) and that they should be found ready.
We do have to know and understand that Scriptures tell us many things we ought ro know, one of which is that we are God"s children.
We Are Family
And that "when we feel like we are not good enough to be loved by God, we should remember that God’s love is greater than our doubts. We must silence the sounds of condemnation so we can hear the voice of God’s loving assurance and remember that He has selected us to be part of His family."
John the Beloved, who walked closely with Jesus and wrote several books in the bible know only so much, but what he did know was enough for him to live his life as a true believer. Read his writings, and the writings of Matthew, Mark, Luke and Paul. And read so with a new perspective, that the writers of the New Testament were there when everything written down were happening. They were eye-witnesses to those events they have recorded. If it happened today, then it will be like someone texting it, blogging it, uploading it to youtube, and sharing it in Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.
Jesus Christ will come back. And this time around it will not be written down in manuscripts but it will be seen and known by everyone, and today's technology is almost good and ready for that.
