Who is God and Who are We

God’s Message:

“Heaven’s my throne,
    earth is my footstool.
What sort of house could you build for me?
    What holiday spot reserve for me?
I made all this! I own all this!”
    God’s Decree.
“But there is something I’m looking for:
    a person simple and plain,
    reverently responsive to what I say.

Isaiah 66:1-2 (MSG)

Yes, if we reread these two verses again, we will realize that God has everything. Let us not delude our selves that we can offer Him anything else which we think He is lacking.

He is the Creator of all things. He is so magnificent and His throne so opulent we really cannot offer him much of anything as He points out, we are just like a grain of sand on this world He created for us, which for all intents and purposes is just a mere foot rest for Him.

Although, there is one thing He is indeed looking for -- plain and simple (very ordinary) people who studies and obeys His word.

And this starts with knowing who our God is, leaving behind who we were before He graciously took us away from our sinful past life, really knowing where we stand now and who we are in Christ, clinging to the promises of our Savior, and looking forward to our Lord's second coming.
