2 Chronicles 7 :14
Today at mid day, the old administration will leave office and the new will be inaugurated -- U. S. President-elect Trump at high noon and Vice President-elect Mike Pence preceeding him.
Mike, a believer, will be placing his right hand on the bible that President Reagan used to be sworn in both as governor of California and as president of the U.S.A. And like Ronald, Mike will be placing his hand on the exact verse. And you might have guessed it already, at 2nd Chronicles 7:14.
What is interesting to note is that the previous verse, 7:13 is often not quoted but it is important especially for California. Let's read it:
V13 "At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops, or send plagues among you."
Then V14 "Then my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land."
Hallelujah. Like we read yesterday, everything was done (including all the bad) so that the good will come out.
The future is in our hands, saints. God said He was going to do His part when we do ours. We, as in His people. Not those who do not believe or who do not have an intimate relationship with God. Not them. Us.
Be humble. Get on our knees. Lift our hands to heaven. Cry out to God. Seek His face. And most importantly, turn away from our wicked ways.
And we have already seen a preview; rain, green hillsides, snow capped mountain tops, birds flying, rivers flowing, water levels normalizing, hopes flying, change coming.
